In view of the amount of allotment land now being taken by councils for alternative use, the following publications might prove useful to have on hand.

The Law of Allotments, by J F Garner. LL. D. Solicitor. Published by Shaw & Sons Ltd. Price about £12.50.
Citrine's ABC of Chairmanship by W. Citrine published by Fabian Society. Price about £5.
This book was originally printed in 1939 and has been revised on a regular basis ever since. The latest print is 1997. The book can be used for all groups and is as handy for Secretaries and lay members as it is for Chairmen/ Chairwoman. An essential pocket book for all attendees at meetings.
