NARBOROUGH & LITTLETHORPE LEISURE GARDENERS ASSOCIATION
MISSION STATEMENT & EQUAL OPPORTUNITIES POLICY
The N&LLGA exists to ensure that the work of the Allotment Movement in the Leicestershire
villages of Narborough & Littlethorpe is undertaken to the highest possible standard,
using the volunteer skills and the resources available at the time.
Working in partnership with the Narborough Parish Council as our landlords, we aim to
provide a focus for pride in our allotment site; to listen to our members; identify and respond to our joint agreed needs and help develop a strong, secure and self reliant Allotment Community, free from unlawful discrimination .
People will be treated with dignity and respect regardless of race, nationality, gender, sexual
orientation, disability and age
At all times peoples feelings will be valued and respected. Language or humour that people find offensive will not be tolerated e.g. sexist, racist or jokes of such terminology which is derogatory to someone with a disability.
No-one will be harassed, abused or intimidated on the ground of his/her race, sex, age, nationality or sexual orientation. Any such reported incidents will be taken seriously and reported to the Management Committee. If the matter cannot be resolved in such a way of an acceptable apology or undertaking that the offence will not be repeated, then the Management Committee will suspended the Member from the N&LLGA and the matter brought to the attention of the Narborough Parish Council for their determination as to their suitability for continuance or not of their tenancy.
