Leicester Allotments and Gardens Council
(AFFILATED TO THE NATIONAL SOCIETY OF ALLOTMENT & LEISURE GARDENERS LTD)

The chair welcomed Angela Riley from V.A.L. who gave a talk on all the advice and help they can give. Minutes of the delegates meeting held on Wednesday 5th April 2006 at 7.00pm in the Town Hall. Attendance 22 delegates from 14 societies.

  1. Apologies:

              T Cooper. N Burtwistle. Glenfield Road A/S.  J Howgill. Rowley Fields A/S.
              F Driver. R Barratt. Rowlets Hill A/S. 

  1. Minutes:

              The minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
              Proposed; Mr A Faulkener; Seconded Mr N Griffiths; Unanimous.

  1. Matters Arising: None.

 

  1. Correspondence:

              Letter from Mrs M Foster informing L.A.G.C. secretary of her new position as   
             
secretary of Aylestone Co-operative A/S.

  1. Treasurer’s report:

              Deposit A/C. £1,423.25.   Current A/C. £992.65.
              
Proposed; J Page. Seconded; A Faulkener.

  1. Reports:

             C.L.A.L.G.C.  
 
 
            
B Rayner became new treasurer.  C.L.A.L.G.C. applied for and
            
received a grant of £2,187.00. from Leicestershire County Council. 

            
East Midlands Regional Committee; 

             
P Howgill gave a report with regards to section 8 also he informed the delegates
            
that the August meeting will be in Lincoln.

            
A.U.C.C.

            
Minutes of last meeting were given out.
            
P Howgill read a report on Rowley Fields A/S T.T. P document.
            
J Howgill sent an email to L.C.C. about the money received by L.C.C. from
            
the sale of allotment land, so far no reply received.

  1. Work Programs:

             Rowlett's Hill A/S wishes to replace their wooden shed with a porta cabin.
            
Aylestone Co-Op A/S annual show Con Club 19th August 2006.
            
Rowley Fields A/S Gas Board are coming onto site to replace pipe work
            
and there will get road repairs as compensation.   
        
     Belgrave A/S have suffered a number of shed break ins on two of there sites
            
It was proposed by J Page and seconded by N Griffiths to make a donation of
            
£100.00 from L.A.G.C. vote taken and carried.

             Congratulation to Belgrave A/S on there Green Life Award.

The meeting closed at 9.03pm.
